SEMA reports that wheels and tires are high on the list of purchases, for both men and women, outpacing plans to buy accessories, appearance products and performance parts.  AND, more women than men plan to shoe their vehicles. For guys, it's performance; for the gals, it's "self-expression."

Ha Ha. Get it? Electric cars. First. there's a slide show at CNN Money on electric car designs. And lots of vehicle details at Fortune.  Some are pretty pricey. Then there's a pickup truck. But for the real "skinny", you gotta' see this little affordable red number.

Appscout.com points out, "You can create a profile for your car, upload photos of it, and customize a horrible background just like on MySpace. Your car can even make friends and compete in "challenges" where it goes head-to-head, virtually, with other cars on the site."
