Stacey David at Nashville Internat'l Auto Show
Stacey David, host of Stacey David’s GearZ™ airing on the Speed Channel on Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. CST, was a huge draw for last weekend’s Nashville International Auto Show. Held at the Nashville Convention Center, and produced by Motor Trend Auto Shows, Inc., the show featured hundreds of 2008 model vehicles, pre-production models, concept cars, exotics and more.
The GearZ booth, which featured Stacey’s custom built 1967 Chevy C10 fleetside truck known as the Copperhead in part for its unique one-of-a-kind color, was a constant hive of activity where attendees watched show episodes while waiting in line.
GearZ™ Premiere Party
A packed house of business associates; sponsors, friends and family viewed the season premier of GearZ. With gearheads around the country asking for a set time on Saturdays to view the show, SPEED is obliging with their “Castrol Oil Engine Block” automotive programming weekly at 9:00 EST. The crowd had a chance to see new projects like the Tony Stewart giveaway 2008 Corvette that is being modified by Stacey on the show, the Banshee, a 400 hp Miata, and a 1932 Ford Roadster dubbed the Rat Roaster.

Stacey David’s GearZ™ Premieres on SPEED
The popular show, hosted by Stacey David, is now on SPEED’s Saturday morning automotive programming, the “Castrol Oil Engine Block”, at 9:00 EST. GearZ™, was formerly on ESPN2s “Garage Block.
The premiere show on SPEED was a behind the scenes look at one of the classic car chase movies of all time – Smokey and the Bandit, with some very special time with music legend, Jerry Reed. True to the format that has made Stacey David’s GearZ a hit from the first day it aired, this season promises to be the most exciting yet, featuring interviews with the people associated with high profile vehicles, installations that will make you want to go out and build it yourself, and the historical background about vehicles that give depth to the story.
